Time and Work Environment
Hospital labs are where most lab technicians work as clinical consultants. This allows them provide quick results to physicians for urgent medical tests. Work schedules will vary between one place to the next depending on the need for that area, but generally, lab experts be full-time for four or five days per week. Some work days may be slower, while other days could be full.
The primary work duties
A major task for a clinical laboratory consultant is to evaluate lab samples with an instrument called a microscope. They analyze tissue and other sample by inspecting the cells and the content within them, to find out if specific diseases are present. The patterns and other characteristics inside the cells help the laboratory consultant to learn more about the present condition of the patient in order to communicate the outcomes to the doctor, or specialist.
